- It makes me happy when my house is tidy.
- I'm trying to stop freaking out when people come over and my house isn't tidy. (note: It's typically NOT tidy when my kids are awake.)
- I joke that my house is actually tidier now than it was in the BEFORE KIDS days. It might be true.
- Sometimes I chastise myself that I don't spend more time enjoying life and less time doing housework...but other times I wonder if that just isn't how I DO enjoy life.

I actually took a picture of the stairs with their lovely vacuum marks. I love them too!
I am so envious. How does your house look like that with all those kids? My house is clearly decorated by toddler/preschooler/kindergartener! Please tell me you have a playroom to hide all the chaos!
Cheryl, more to the point, WHY does my house look like that with all these kids? It's really not the most efficient use of my time. Why? Why do I do this to myself?
But yes, the kids have their kingdom down in the basement (which amazingly enough, looks pretty good right now). But typically I try to not stress about the basement - mainly I just avoid going down there. :)
